Lion Matt Wootton (left) receives the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award from Zone 1A Chair, Todd Boller.  Matt recently completed a year as the Board of Directors Chairperson.  Before that, he served as the Club President for the 2022-23 and the 2023-24 years.  Matt has also been our Project Chair for the annual Tag Day Program for the past 6 years.  The MJF Award is presented to a Lion who exemplifies service, commitment to helping the community and others, and a humble dedication to go above and beyond in serving the club and the community.  Congratulations, Matt!!!

The Hanover Lions Club recently installed it Club Officers and Board Directors for the 2025-2026 club year.  Seated:  Ken Zinn (Membership); Bob Gotwalt (Treasurer); Jon Schmeyer (President); Ann Brumback (Chaplain)

What is going on with the Hanover Lions Club?

July 8 - Annual Club Pizza Night & Bench Dedication ~ 23 members and 25 guests gathered at the Cross Keys Fellowship Church Pavilion/Playground for a pizza supper and the dedication of sitting benches in memory of three former New Oxford Li0ns Club members:  John 'JR' Deatrick, Kay Smith, & Brenda Troutman.  PDG and Past President of the New Oxford Club, Lisa Griffie, conducted the dedication ceremony.  Family members  took a moment to gather / sit at each respective bench for a special photograph.
